Much More To Sicily than the Mafia

There is Much More to Sicily than the Mafia
Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre’s Private Touring in Sicily
Sicily is the large island just off the toe of the boot of Italy. Unfortunately its modern reputation is rather unfairly based on its association with the Mafia rather than with the reality of an island with some of Italy’s most beautiful towns and cities, stunning scenery and unique history. If you have watched the SBS show Inspector Montalbano you would have a chance to see a lot of Sicily’s charm.
Sicily is the only part of Italy which can boast a combination of Greek, Roman and Islamic influence. Mt Etna, Europe’s largest and most active volcano is usually growling but sometimes erupts in spectacular fury. http://www.etravelblackboard.com/index.asp?id=63601&nav=9
